[Korea] Gangneung Travel | Recommended Pet-Friendly Accommodation 'Anmok Eul Nopida (eng. Elevate Your View)'

 🐾 A trip to Gangneung, Gangwon-do with Dalgom

During the Lunar New Year holiday earlier this year,

I wanted to go on a short vacation with my beloved Maltifu Dalgom.

While looking for a pet-friendly accommodation, I found a place in Gangneung, Gangwon-do 'Elevate Your View' where you can enjoy the beautiful sea view.

Unfortunately, we are fully booked for the holidays.

So instead, I planned and booked a weekday trip in February.

My parents were with me (Note: Pet will be charged extra).

🧳 the day before

Dalgom was so excited when he was packing.

He kept running around and got in the way

Only his things filled two bags!

🚗 On the way to Gangneung

It was cold, but the sun was bright and clear, so it was the perfect travel weather.

I stopped by at lunchtime before I checked in

Takjigol Handmade Galbi (Gyeongpodae), a pet-friendly restaurant.

Dogs can be brought into the plane.

The food was great, and it was very clean.

🏨 Check-in

The hotel was about 10 minutes away from the restaurant.

We booked two rooms:

One to my parents (Room 401) and one to us and Dalgom (Room 404).

Both rooms were clean and spacious, well-equipped with bathrooms and kitchens.

There were plates, pots, cutlery, microwave ovens, and even cleaning tools.

🌊 First beach walk

Dalgom was really excited to see the sea for the first time!

He ran around the room and looked out the window.

Later, we went for a walk on the beach.

📸 The moment of the red lighthouse

After exploring for a while, we arrived at Angan Beach

I took a picture in front of the iconic red lighthouse with my dad.

🌙 Market Snack & Cozy Dinner

I stopped by Gangneung Jungang Market and ate local food,

But it was crowded and most places had long lines.

So we bought squid sundae and abai sundae and ate it.

For dinner, we went to a clam barbecue restaurant on the first floor of the hotel.

Fresh clams and cold beer—finishes a beach day perfectly.

😴 Off

After spending all night, we enjoyed the night view for a while

Dalgom was already fast asleep.

The bed was soft and cozy,

But my mom couldn't sleep well because of the sound of the waves.

If you are sensitive to noise, keep this in mind when booking an ocean view room.

Nevertheless, she said it was her favorite stay ever

I want to go back in the summer. Maybe I can go back to a quieter room this time!
